Talks are still underway with the stakeholders of Nasinu Town council on how to address the recent flooding in the area.
A few residents along the Nasinu area were victims to the flash flood that accrued yesterday. This was due to the poor drainage of this area.
Town Council chief executive Akhtar Ali says the poor drainage was due to a preliminary stage of construction and that their main focus is looking at ways to address this.
He adds the stakeholders will be meeting early next week to look at ways to address this issue.
He is calling on the residents along the Nasinu area to also land a helping hand in cleaning their drainage system.
Areas like Nadawa, Nadera and Wakanisila experienced flash flooding yesterday due to the downpour.
