In the 12 months since the devastation caused by TC Winston, Save the Children Fiji has reached more than 19, 700 children with their rehabilitation programs.
This was confirmed during the launch of save the children’s booklet today to mark the work of the organization for the one year anniversary of Cyclone Winston.
“While it is crucial to be able to reach the hardest hit communities immediately after a disaster as furious as Tropical cyclone Winston, save the Children recognizes it is absolutely paramount that children, parents and teachers know what to do the next time a cyclone strikes,” save the children Fiji’s CEO Iris Low- McKenzie.
The 500 booklets includes stories of the work Save the Children has done within the year since the devastation of cyclone Winston.
