Outgoing President of the Methodist Church Reverand Dr. Tevita Banivanua says during his leadership, he has encountered the challenges of strong global influences of Secularism and the nation being a secular state.
The outgoing President made the comments while addressing the Church members yesterday.
Reverend Banivanua said that for those who have eyes to see, the Secularization of other Fijian Society is underway, reshaping our cultures and how we engage with one another. Yet it is important that it is recognized and many organisations including the UN system do recognize that the dominant view in Fiji and in the Pacific nations is Christianity.
Reverend Banivanua reminded the church to keep working hard.
