Expect heavy rainfall and thunderstorms during this time of the year.
The weather Office says this is due to the hot and humid conditions.
This is also cyclone season so there are four to six cyclones predicted to hit the Pacific region.
Two are expected to pass through Fiji.
” One of these tropical cyclones will be expected to reach category 3 or above and for the current condition, hot and humid conditions are common at this time of the year. Members of the public are requested to stay hydrated and thunderstorm activities will be common so it will cause heavy falls. People living in low lying areas near small streams please be alert and take heed of the warning if issued by the weather office” said Acting Director Fiji Meteorological Office Viliame Vereivalu
