A Tropical Cyclone alert is now in force for Ono-I-Lau.
Category 3 Tropical Cyclone Gita was located about 1 thousand and 80km east of Ono-i-Lau and about 1 thousand and 90km East of Lakeba at 6am today.
The Cyclone is moving South at about 15km/hr.
The Nadi Weather Office has confirmed that the system is not expected to affect the group till later Tuesday afternoon adding that the cyclone is expected to curve west towards Southern Lau.
On this track the cyclone centre is expected to be located about 770km East of Ono-i-Lau at 6am on Tuesday.
Close to the centre, the Cyclone is expected to have average winds of up to 50km/hr.
