arts of Suva and Lami are currently facing low water pressure.
The Water Authority of Fiji is advising customers living in this affected areas in Delainavesi, Lami, Qauia Street, Valenicina, Kalekana, Uduya, Veisari and Wailoku that water supply will be normalised on Saturday.
The disruption is a result of low water levels in the Tamavua Water Treatment Plant reservoirs due to the burst of 600mm raw water pumping main from Waimanu Pumping Station to the Tamauva Water Treatment Plant causing reduction of water production.
The repair works are already in progress and was completed last night.
The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas mentioned above to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during the period.
Water carts will be on standby to service the affected areas as and when the need arises. We apologise for any inconvenience that this disruption may cause.
