Residents of Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki are currently without power supply.
The Fiji Electricity Authority chief executive – Hasmukh Patel, has confirmed that most of the areas in the western division, have been affected due to flash flooding.
In a press statement released by the FEA, it states that apart from areas within the Ba to Rakiraki corridor… the Sigatoka Diesel Power Station is able to supply power, to just over 50 percent of their customers.
However, Patel adds power supply has been restored in certain parts of Lautoka, Nadi and Sigatoka.
Patel confirms – power supply is still intact in Vanua Levu.
