Parts of Queen Victoria School that was severely damaged by TC Winston earlier this year have been rebuilt by the Indonesian Military.
The Indonesian Military today handed over the completion of the works to the RFMF as they leave our shores in a few days time.
It was an emotional day for Queen Victorian School.
Earlier this year QVS could not stand the wrath of TC Winston and had suffered severe damage.
The Indonesian government stepped in quickly to adopt QVS under the government’s adopt a school program.
Months of rebuilding finally came to an end today.
The Indonesian Military spent four months in Tailevu rebuilding the school.
For the Indonesian Military, the experience in Matavatucou, Tailevu will be cherished forever.
The students are expected to use the new buildings from next year.
