The 31st Annual Miss Pacific Islands Pageant will be hosted at Prince Charles Park in Nadi from the 6th to the 9th of December.
This was confirmed by the Minister for Local Government Parveen Bala today. Fiji last hosted the pageant in 2009 at Albert Park
Preparations are underway as Fiji will once again host the Miss Pacific Island Pageant next week. This pageant will for the first time be held in Nadi and is expected to boost tourism numbers.
A total of nine contestants will be participating in the pageant. Miss Solomon Islands Emily chan arrived on Monday night while Miss American Samoa Matauaina To’omalatai arrived last night. the remaining seven contestants will arrive over the next few days.
The nine contestants will be participating in the sarong competition, talent judging, pre- pageant interview, stage interview and also traditional attire.
The public with Pacific Island Communities in Fiji are invited to join in the support of your individual queens. An opening march will commence on the 6th of December through Nadi Town with the contestants while the float parade is scheduled for the 9th of December.
