Members of the public have been reassured that Police Officers in the Western Division, continue to be on standby to assist anyone, who may need help during the current bad weather spell.
The Police Force has sent out a stern warning to members of the public to quote… “Do Not attempt to cross flooded roads or bridges and also ensure that everyone is safe at all times”.
Members of the public are also advised that of last night, the Irish crossing to Toga, Rewa – was flooded, and two boats were on standby to transport people across safely.
The public are asked to please monitor the situation, before making any decision to continue their travel.
