Taking the lead role to partner with reputable agencies, to improve service delivery to the ‘Age Care Community’, is one of the priorities for the Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation.
This was part of the preliminary dialogue between the Ministry and APTC, in terms of elevating service delivery to older persons, both in institutional and progressing community care settings, in Fiji.
Permanent secretary – Dr. Josefa Koroivueta said, that APTC delivers trainings accredited under the Australian Qualifications Framework, which is recognized locally, regionally and internationally.
He said that this fruitful discussion will empower the work of the caregivers in Senior Citizens’ Homes, and improve the service delivery.
APTC Country Manager – Jonathan Todd, stated the relationship with the Ministry is aligned with APTCs commitment, to supporting the development of standards of care for the aged.
