A gale warning remains in force for Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Viti Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti Group.
Tropical Cyclone Josie centre category 1 was located near about 155 kilomatres West-Southwest of Nadi and 170 kilometres South-Southwest of Viwa at 3am.
Close to its centre the cyclone is expected to have average winds up to 65 km/hr with momentary gusts to 95 km/hr. The average winds close to its centre are expected to increase to 75 km/hr with momentary gusts to 100 km/hr by 6:00 am today. The cyclone moving east southeast at about 22 km/hr.
On this track, the cyclone centre is expected to be located about 150 kilometres south of Nadi at 3:00 pm, and about 100 kilometres south-southeast of Kadavu at 3:00 am tomorrow.
